Corporate Gift Boxes Delivered Nationwide (3000 boxes in ONE day!)

We recently got the chance to prove our belief that Lady Yum is built for large-scale gifting. In our largest corporate order to date, we shipped nearly 3000 macaron gift boxes (each filled with 15 classic French Macaron flavors) directly to employees across the country in a single day. 

Our production model was designed for high volume orders, consistent quality and nationwide delivery. Our facility based outside Seattle allows us to produce thousands of fresh French Macarons daily (and yes, it smells like heaven at the office!), which makes large corporate gifting not just possible, but seamless.

To pull off a project of this scale, we treated like a logistics-driven production sprint.

We began with a project plan working backwards from our ship date. The size of the order meant we had to ensure enough space for shipping packaging, the physical supplies needed, and a kitchen backstock of macarons to fill  all these packages, each containing 15 classic macarons  Planning included meetings with FedEx to prep for shipping, many days of “all hands on deck” with everyone pitching in to make boxes and cut ribbon, and a thorough assessment of labor hours required to build it all - a process that includes not only baking the fresh macarons, but building the packs, packaging them all with stickers and custom ribbons, and sealing them in protective bags so they would arrive at each address fresh and on time.

The end result was an unprecedented three-day shutdown of our production facility, and a conversion of our team of bakers into a shipping team!

On shipping day, our management team joined our production team in an assembly line style operation which saw us insert the premade boxes of macarons into protective insulation with ice packs for freshness and place each one carefully into boxes, close and label each box, and build (and saran wrap!) many pallets of macaron boxes 8 or 9 feet tall! Shipping went almost completely seamlessly, with each detail considered in advance and a workflow that maintained assembly line speed throughout.
